L'Oréal Canada Appoints Amélie Fortier-Cyr as CDMO

L'Oréal Canada has appointed a new Chief Digital and Marketing Officer.
Amélie Fortier-Cyr is taking on the role after close to 20 years with the company – succeeding Marc Dicko, who has moved on to a role as Chief Digital and Marketing Officer for L'Oréal SAPMENA after nearly four years in Canada.

Global leadership experience
Over the course of her 19-year career within the L'Oréal Group, Amélie has worked across the company’s markets in Canada, the US, France and the UK.
She first joined the group in 2007 as an International Group Product Manager for Vichy, before going on to take on key management roles – such as Managing Director for Vichy USA, Assistant Vice President of Marketing for L'Oréal Paris USA, Brand Director for Vichy Canada and General Manager of Lancôme Canada, where she helped position it as a number one luxury brand.
Most recently, she has held the role of General Manager of L'Oréal Paris UK & Ireland, which she took on in 2023.
During her time in this role, Amélie has driven significant transformations, such as the refocusing of its media strategy and the success of major campaigns, which also serving as its Ethics Correspondent.
According to L'Oréal, her deep knowledge of the group combined with her previous experience in digital transformation and innovation make her the “natural choice” to lead L'Oréal Canada’s marketing strategy.

Leadership shifts
Amélie is taking over the CDMO role from Marc as he moves over to L'Oréal SAPMENA, where he will oversee the zone’s digital, e-commerce and marketing strategy across more than 35 markets – which represent more than three million consumers.
Marc has spent more than 15 years with the company as a whole, first joining in 2011 as a Digital Marketing and CRM Project Manager.
More recently, he has held roles such as the Senior Digital Manager for the Chief Digital Officer team in L'Oréal China, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer for L'Oréal Taiwan and Chief Digital and Marketing Officer for L'Oréal Canada.
