Chief Marketing Officers (CMO’s) are responsible for overseeing all marketing operations within a company, shaping brand strategy and driving revenue.

This Top 10 looks at the marketing leaders who are doing it best in the Asia Pacific region (APAC) and ranks them by company revenue in 2025.

10. Ranjita Gosh

Despite only being appointed Global CMO in February 2025, Ranjita holds just over 21 years of experience at Wipro.

Starting out as a Senior Business Analyst in 2006, she has progressively worked towards executive positions and held the role of CMO - APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa) for just over four years before being promoted to her current role.

Ranjita’s strategy focuses on reputation building, relationship depth and revenue acceleration and Wipro’s revenue has seen growth since her appointment – deeming her framework a successful basis.

9. Jill Kouri

Following her appointment as CMO at HCLTech over five years ago, Jill has led the marketing and communications for the US$10bn technology company.

Jill’s focus on ethical leadership and corporate governance has enhanced the brand’s reputation as she continues to build a brand and drive growth.

Before this recent appointment, Jill has been in the marketing industry for over two decades in prior roles such as CMO (Americas) at Real Estate Investment company JLL, where she served for just over seven years.

Her contributions to HCLTech have positioned the company as a leader in the technology industry.

8. Sumit Virmani

Company: Infosys

Well acquainted with working in marketing departments for Infosys, Sumit holds over two decades of experience at the company.

Originally joining in 2004 as Head Marketing - Finacle, Sumit was appointed Global CMO at Infosys in 2016 and has positioned the company among the world’s top 100 brands, driving significant growth for the brand outside of APAC.

Sumit has transformed Infosys into one of the fastest growing IT services brands through valuing customer experiences and leveraging partnerships with sports and technology in particular.

7.Jyane Quek

Company: Standard Chartered

Revenue: US$20.9bn

Marketing leaders are required to tailor different marketing strategies to different segments to ensure maximum audience reach, and this is a skill Jyane has mastered.

With over 15 years of marketing experience, including APAC Business Lead at Google for four years, Jyane highlights the importance of understanding customer needs and altering the brand to represent this.

Now the Global Head of Brand and Marketing at Standard Chartered, she oversees all media partnerships and shapes its growth strategies to well position the future of marketing and communications for Standard Chartered.

6. Michelle Klein

Michelle has been Chief Growth, Brand and Marketing Officer for Westpac for nearly a year, however the marketing industry is not a novel concept to her and she is a well established customer-centric leader who is driven by data.

Bringing over two decades of marketing experience to the role, Michelle has expanded Westpac’s marketing capabilities and driven revenue and growth already.

Michelle’s strong success in global marketing has come from her previous roles in Meta where she progressed through various roles over nine years, including Vice President Global Business and Product Marketing.

5. Abhinav Kumar

The majority of Abhinav’s professional career has been dedicated towards helping to build Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and being appointed to eight different roles over 24 years across the globe.

Under Abhinav’s leadership, he has driven the brand’s value from US$2.3bn in 2010 to US$21.3bn in 2024, and integrates executive engagement with global sponsorships (such as marathons).

In 2019, he was awarded ‘Outstanding Individual Achievement’ in recognition of a 17 year career at TCS, displaying his sheer commitment to his roles and positioning himself as a core marketing leader in the technology sector.

4. Danielle Jin

Company: Visa, Asia Pacific

With her 10 years experience as Chief Marketing Officer at Visa, Danielle’s leadership has changed the banking game in APAC. Responsible for overseeing all marketing operations in the APAC region, she has driven digital innovation and strengthened Visa’s brand leadership through a deepened engagement with customers.

Previously Vice President Marketing at PepsiCo, Danielle has mastered the art of blending commercial instinct with purpose-driven leadership and positioned Visa to be more than a bank and to drive inclusivity and resonate with its Asian audiences – earning her recognition as an innovative leader in the financial sector.

3. Gayatri Yadav

Company: Reliance Industries

Revenue: US$134.4bn

Gayatri proves herself as a leader with multiple skills and backgrounds, particularly in the marketing sector. Through holding various positions at companies such as Procter & Gamble, Star TV Network, Sequoia Capital and now Reliance Industries, Gayatri has been an integral part of shaping the strategy and positioning of many companies.

After having her leadership recognised with multiple awards during her time as CMO for India & South East Asia at Sequoia Capital, her transition to Reliance Industries will leverage her experience in driving innovation and enhancing brand impact across the company’s diverse businesses.

2. Chris Tung

Company: Alibaba

Chief Marketing Officer for one of the biggest e-commerce companies, Chris Tung has been instrumental in the international market expansion of Alibaba over the last 10 years.

Servicing nearly one billion users each month, Alibaba requires precisive strategies that Chris crafts with ease. Focused on driving organic growth and engagement, Chris’ marketing influence can be found in many places.

One of his key achievements includes integrating AI into the Alibaba platform to make personalisations more relevant to a shopper’s individual experience.

Overseeing marketing operations for one of the biggest companies in the APAC region (and globally) is not a simple task. However after seven years in the role of Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Mobile in South Korea, Stephanie has taken the opportunity in her stride. 

Recognised as Advertiser of the Year 2025, Stephanie has successfully managed several partnerships with enterprises such as K-Pop music group ‘BTS’.

 Impressively retaining mobile phone sales through her creatively memorable marketing strategies, Stephanie utilises Samsung’s marketing campaigns to ensure its tech products are at the forefront of every delivery. 

A dedicated leader who has earned a respectable reputation for her work, Stephanie doesn’t neglect the environmental issues that tech companies often face.
