Devon's Point, WPP's new production facility, will help the company bring AI capabilities and creativity under one roof, says WPP CEO Cindy Rose

WPP has officially opened its new production facility.

Based in East London, Devon’s Point spans 34,000 square feet across multiple floors. According to WPP, the studio represents a “major evolution” in global content production – being the first facility of its kind to be launched by a marketing services company in the UK.

This studio will bring together WPP’s work in AI with modular studio environments and post-production capabilities in order to help the agency’s clients move from concept to finished product at faster rates.

“Our clients are operating in a fiercely competitive and fast paced environment, and they are asking us for bolder, more integrated solutions,” Cindy Rose, CEO of WPP, says of the studio.

“Devon’s Point brings our world-class creativity and our advanced AI capabilities under one roof to do exactly that. It's a major investment in our people, our technology and ultimately, the success of our clients.”

A home for HEX Studio

Devon’s Point will be operated by WPP Production, WPP’s global production operating unit made up of close to 10,000 of what the company calls “craft experts”. Within this, the facility will be home to members of WPP’s HEX Studio, launched in June.

HEX is WPP’s studio built specifically for AI-led marketing, and is made up of 50 creative technologists from non-traditional advertising backgrounds – including gaming, robotics and architecture.

The studio’s experts have worked on AI campaigns, AI assets and TV ads for various brands, including using AI coaching and real-time motion capture to translate data into personalised dirt patterns at SXSW 2025 for Unilever’s Dirt is Good campaign.

It has also worked closely with technology partners, including Adobe, Google and NVIDIA, to test out emerging technologies and explore their real-world applications.

“Creative technology sits at the intersection of imagination and craft,” says Richard Glasson, CEO of WPP Production. “WPP Production has supported this extraordinary programme from the very beginning because we believe deeply in constantly finding new ways to make the best work.

“That commitment is rooted in one of our core values: nurturing the next generation of talent and giving them unparalleled opportunities to create culture-shifting work through emerging technologies and the power of their own creativity.”

By the numbers:
  • 34,000 square feet: The size of the new Devon’s Point facility located across multiple floors in East London.
  • 10,000 craft experts: The approximate headcount of WPP Production, the unit operating the studio.
  • 50 creative technologists: The number of specialists in HEX Studio drawn from non-traditional fields including gaming, robotics and architecture.
  • 4 operating units: The structural divisions created under WPP’s Elevate28 strategy, consisting of WPP Media, WPP Creative, WPP Enterprise Solutions and WPP Production.
  • 2028: The target milestone year for delivering high-quality growth under the Elevate28 strategy following stabilisation in 2026 and momentum building in 2027.

Elevate28 strategy

The launch of this new facility marks further investment from WPP into WPP Production –  one of four new operating units launched earlier in 2026 to simplify the business.

These four units, revealed in WPP’s Elevate28 strategy announcement, are WPP Media, WPP Creative, WPP Enterprise Solutions and, of course, WPP Production.

The strategic plan focuses on stabilising the business in 2026, building momentum in 2027 and delivering “high-quality” growth from 2028.

“We have everything we need to succeed: exceptional talent, world-class capabilities, trusted data and technology solutions and groundbreaking partnerships, as well as the scale and reach to service the most complex multi-national, multi-brand clients in the world,” Cindy said of the strategy.

“The momentum we are seeing from the decisive action we’ve already taken gives me the confidence that we’re on the right path to creating a WPP that is fit for the future and built to win.”
