The CXO Summit: Exploring AI’s Role in Marketing

What is the future of AI in marketing?
Chief Marketing Officers are aiming to answer that question at this year’s CXO Summit, with senior leaders set to discuss how to move AI forward in the marketing function in a dedicated panel on the 7th of October.
According to HubSpot’s 2026 State of Marketing report, 61% of marketers believe that marketing is experiencing its biggest disruption in 20 years due to AI – with 80% of marketers saying that they use the technology for content creation.
The Future of AI in Marketing panel will explore how marketers can best deploy this technology – exploring how the top marketing leaders are implementing AI to accelerate growth, enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
AI’s impact on marketing
According to research from Salesforce, marketing and sales teams that use AI are 1.3 times more likely to achieve revenue growth compared to those that don’t.
From predictive analytics to content generation, the technology is helping to transform the marketing function – but when done wrong, AI can have a negative impact on brand image and overall consumer trust.
The challenge lies in ensuring that AI-driven content and data-driven decisions align with corporate values.
Implementing AI in the marketing function responsibly means balancing the efficiency of automated processes with the specific values that define a company’s brand identity.
Attendees at the CXO Summit will explore how to manage this balance, ensuring that new developments in marketing don't come at the cost of brand trust.
The CXO summit
The CXO Summit has been designed to encourage shared perspective, communication and clarity for business leaders. Through the creation of four dedicated zones for CEOs, CFOs, CHROs and CMOs, the event looks to facilitate cross-functional dialogue and alignment across key decision-making areas within the C-Suite.
Alongside the Future of AI in Marketing panel, the CXO Summit will be holding a CMO Summit and a panel on the AI Ready Workforce, which will feature insights from Lisette Danesi, Global Chief People Officer, Corporate Functions at advertising firm WPP.
“I’m very excited to join this event,” says Lisette. “While every organisation is on its own AI journey, our universal challenge remains: how to truly embed AI while keeping humans - the heart of our businesses – at the forefront. My focus here is on empowering our people to 'learn, unlearn and relearn,' so we can responsibly harness AI for the future.”
Other speakers at the event will include Harry Abrams, Partner at Shoosmiths and Tom Simons, Chief HR and OD Officer for NHS England, who will both feature on a panel on the future of people and skills in the workplace.
Alex Snelling, Chief People Officer at McDonald’s, will also deliver the opening keynote address on day one at 10:45 on the Enterprise Theatre stage.
In total, the CXO Summit will be featuring more than 50 expert speakers and four executive workshops to support a collaborative approach to organisational leadership.
