Pringles Embraces Spooky Season with New Campaign

Pringles is getting into the spooky spirit this year by giving its iconic can a haunting Halloween twist.
Launched 13 October, âOnce You Dropâ is the latest chapter of Pringlesâ âOnce You Pop, the Pop Donât Stopâ running campaign.
Co-created with BBDO New York and Weber Shandwich, the campaign will be distributed across social and online platforms in the run up to Halloween.
The snack brand has been recognised for its tongue-in-cheek adverts across the years and this seasonal campaign could take the crown with its dark humour approach.
Dying for a Pringles urn?
Within the campaign, Pringles is offering one die-hard fan the chance to win a final resting place in a branded urn.
The hero film features Dan The Funeral Man, a social media star who is also a licensed funeral director, checking over a casket.
The comedic ad spot shows Dan revealing that the inventor of the Pringles can was buried in his own iconic invention and encourages Pringles lovers to sign the âLast Will and Taste-Amentâ online to be in with the chance to have the same opportunity.
Out of those who pledge to be buried in the urn when they eventually âdropâ, one individual will be chosen at random and win the urn and a 200-year-supply of Pringles.
âLeaning into Halloweenâs dark humour and Gen Zâ taste for absurdist storytelling, weâre putting Pringles on the salty side of Halloween and rewarding the ultimate fan in the most lasting way possible, by making the Pringles can part of their legacy,â said Mauricio Jenkins, Vice President, Global Salty Snacks at Kellogg's.
Fans are able to enter until 22 October, with the winner announced around Halloween.

Creative ads taken next level
This isnât the first time the snack brand has taken a boldly creative approach to its advertisements. Earlier this year, Pringles launched a 60 second âPringleleoâ Super Bowl ad spot featuring musician Sabrina Carpenter.
The advert saw Sabrina building her perfect love interest out of Pringles and followed the pairâs whirlwind romance of dinner dates and lazy mornings in bed, all while she was taking bites out of her new partner âPringleleoâ.
