Omnicom has announced that it has been ranked first across all evaluated categories in the 2026 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Global Digital Marketing Agencies report.

These categories included Global Brand / Marketing Campaign Execution, Omnichannel Content Creation, AI-Driven Marketing Innovation, Data-Driven Performance Marketing, Digital Commerce and CX Overhaul, B2B Marketing and Website and Digital Product Design.

The agency was also recently named a leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Digital Marketing Agencies, alongside the likes of VML and DEPT.

According to Omnicom, this recognition can be largely attributed to its technological advancements, with the company saying its expertise in marketing technology strategy, organisational design and change management, complemented by its AI and data capabilities, has played a key role in helping its clients bring in new marketing solutions and make meaningful transformations.

Gartner’s Critical Capabilities report took several factors into account over the course of its evaluation – such as the clarity of the organisation’s AI vision, the depth of capabilities in its creative execution, its martech strategy, content supply chain optimisation, first-party data enrichment and digital marketing performance.

For Omnicom, a significant part of that strategy is the development of Omni, its AI-enabled intelligence platform.

This brings together data, AI, commerce intelligence, Omnicom’s marketplace access and cultural signals, among other factors, together onto one platform to give its clients a foundation where they can connect strategy, execution and performance across the entire marketing ecosystem
