Inside Sustainability LIVE at Climate Week in NYC

Sustainability LIVE at Climate Week NYC is scheduled to take place on 22 September 2026 at the Javits Center. The invite-only gathering could bring more than 500 senior executives to New York for sessions on climate strategy and corporate environmental programmes.

The conference is timed to coincide with Climate Week NYC, which runs from 20 to 27 September 2026. Climate Group organises the week-long series of events that takes place during the United Nations General Assembly.

Executive workshops scheduled

More than 50 speakers are due to address attendees throughout the one-day programme. Six executive workshops are planned to cover carbon management, energy transition and procurement strategies.

Topics listed in the agenda include artificial intelligence applications in sustainability, supply chain decarbonisation and corporate leadership structures. Sessions could examine how organisations respond to changing regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Industry representatives from RELX, HP, Airbus, PepsiCo, Colgate-Palmolive and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team are among those scheduled to speak. Jen Huffstetler, Chief Sustainability Officer at HP, Ann Tracy, Chief Sustainability Officer at Colgate-Palmolive and Burgess Scott David, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at PepsiCo are listed as speakers.

Additional presenters include Dexter Galvin, Senior Vice President of Climate at EcoVadis, and Charlie Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Global Impact Coalition. The event is being run in association with Budderfly, EcoVadis, SAP and Sphera.

Panel discussions on multiple issues

The published agenda includes panel discussions on emissions tracking technology and resource efficiency systems. Sessions are set to address how artificial intelligence tools could support environmental data collection and analysis.

One session is scheduled to focus on human rights and forced labour in global supply chains. The topic reflects ongoing regulatory developments around supply chain due diligence and responsible sourcing practices.

Another panel is planned to highlight women working in sustainability roles. This session aims to showcase leaders who are implementing organisational changes related to climate strategy and environmental management.

The workshops throughout the day are designed to move beyond discussions and into practical frameworks. Areas covered could include carbon reduction planning, sustainable procurement systems, electrification strategies and energy transition roadmaps.

Venue hosts international discussions

The Javits Center is the venue for Sustainability LIVE. According to the organisers, the facility has implemented sustainability measures including a rooftop farm and energy efficiency systems.

The venue's energy initiatives have reduced annual consumption by an average of 26%, according to published data. Green infrastructure forms part of the centre's operations.

Climate Week NYC was first held in 2009. The annual gathering brings together business leaders, policymakers, investors and civil society representatives to discuss low-carbon economy transitions.
