Leading through transformation
Jeremy first joined Dentsu in September 2022, leading, among other responsibilities, enterprise reputation, media relations, internal and change communications across Dentsu and its global brands – which include Carat, iProspect, Merkle and Dentsu Creative.
He also oversaw communications through the creation of One Dentsu – the company’s new corporate strategy and operational model, integrating its previously separate Japanese and international business entities into a single global organisation for the first time in 120 years.
This, according to Jeremy, was “one of the most consequential transformations in the company’s history”.
Alongside this, Jeremy led the development and launch of Innovating to Impact – Dentsu’s first global go-to-market brand platform, which was created to define the company’s market narrative across new products, services, capabilities and growth priorities.
Before joining Dentsu, Jeremy spent more than 10 years at McCann Worldgroup, first as EVP and Global Chief Communications Officer, and then as EVP and Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
Organisational shifts
Jeremy’s departure follows a period of change for Dentsu, with the company appointing Takeshi Sano as President and Global CEO earlier in 2026. Prior to this, Takeshi held the role of CEO of Dentsu Japan and Deputy Global Chief Operating Officer.
At the same time, the company formed a new Global Management Team, specifically designed to accelerate Dentsu’s pace of transformation.
This included eliminating the Global COO role and appointing a new Global Chief Transformation Officer and a Global Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
“Amid rapid shifts in our business and competitive environment, we continue to thoughtfully evolve our leadership approach and management practices to support the pace of our transformation and strengthen execution, all while maximising our contribution to client growth,” Takeshi said upon his appointment.
“Dentsu will continue to sharpen the distinctive value that sets us apart and position ourselves as a true growth partner, supporting clients consistently from strategy through to execution.
“By creating momentum for our clients, partners, people and society, we will reinforce trust with stakeholders and steadily advance the sustainable enhancement of our corporate value.”
