MotoGP Group is partnering with Accenture to power the next phase of its direct-to-fan offering.

Through the collaboration, MotoGP is harnessing Accenture’s technology capabilities and sports streaming expertise to improve the fan experience, deliver richer content and create new ways to engage with the sport's growing fanbase.

This new platform will be unifying MotoGP properties, such as MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and World Superbike, under a single technology architecture – while still keeping each experience tailored to its audience.

Accenture’s Media Engage platform will be powering this transformation, helping MotoGP deliver greater speed to market. This will allow the organisation to more easily launch, personalise and optimise experiences for fans across regions.

“MotoGP has a clear vision for how it wants to evolve its direct-to-fan experience and create new sources of value around the sport,” says John Peters, Global Media & Entertainment Lead at Accenture.

“As sports organisations build deeper, more direct relationships with fans, the opportunity lies in bringing together audience engagement, content and monetisation on a connected platform that can continually evolve with changing fan expectations.

“By combining MotoGP’s deep understanding of its fans and the sport with Accenture’s Media Engage platform and experience building and operating media platforms at scale, we can help create the foundation for the next generation of direct-to-fan experiences.”

Increasing audience engagement

As part of the collaboration between MotoGP and Accenture, the two companies will co-innovate through Accenture partners, such as AWS, to explore new ways to deepen engagement with audiences and improve ways for fans to consume content.

Fans will have a multi-camera viewing experience, with customisable race coverage and live sports data integrated into the livestream.

As the collaboration progresses, MotoGP Group says that future updates will introduce immersive experiences that have been designed to bring audiences “even closer to the action”.
