Who is Valentino's Newly Appointed Chief Marketing Officer?
Valentino has appointed Liran Peterzil as its new Chief Marketing Officer, effective March 2, 2026.
Liran joins Valentino following a role as Managing Director at LANOA, which he held for more than seven years.
Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at organisations such as Compagnie Financière Richemont, the Creative Artists Agency and Giorgio Armani.
He will succeed Yigit Turhan, who first joined Valentino in 2018 as Head of Branding, and has worked as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer since 2023.
On LinkedIn, Yigit shared: “After 2,737 remarkable days, I have decided to move on from my role at Valentino. Grateful for the immense privilege of contributing to one of the most iconic Houses in the world, and proud of what we built together in all these years.
“Thank you to every team, every collaborator, every dreamer who made these years so meaningful.”
Leadership changes at Valentino
This latest appointment follows a series of leadership shifts for Valentino.
In August 2025, former CEO Jacopo Venturini stepped down following a 22% drop in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) – reflecting a wider shift in the declining sales of luxury goods.
Riccardo Bellini was named the company’s new CEO as of September 2025, having previously held chief executive roles at Chloé and Maison Margiela.
Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Chairman of Valentino, said of the appointment in a company statement that Riccardo’s “extensive luxury experience, strategic acumen and proven leadership – together with Alessandro Michele’s powerful creative vision – will drive the maison forward and amplify its unique identity”.
Following this, several leadership appointments have been announced at the brand. In December, Laurent Bergamo was promoted to Deputy CEO, following six years as Valentino's global sales director.
According to the company, this appointment was made to support its efforts to expand and elevate the brand.
In January 2026, Esther Hörmann was also announced as CEO of Europe for Valentino, joining the company from Rimowa, also as part of efforts to strengthen expansion.
Changes have already been made to Valentino’s marketing leadership prior to Liran, with Davide Tosi being appointed Chief Merchandising Officer at Valentino.
Formerly Ready to Wear Merchandising Director at Gucci, Davide has supported the company’s turnaround efforts through its global merchandising and pricing strategies.
Developing Valentino’s global brand strategy
As the company looks to encourage growth, Liran will be tasked with building up the company’s global branding strategy, with Valentino looking to attract a new generation of luxury buyers.
The company has begun shifting its strategy towards a direct-to-consumer model under Yigit, with a focus on elevating the retail experience and integrating digital tools such as AI.
In 2025, Valentino partnered with augmented reality specialist firm Wanna to offer virtual try-on experiences to customers, allowing prospective customers to interact with their products digitally.
It also used AI to create online video content it describes as a “digital creative project” to promote its DeVain handbag in December, in line with goals to make dynamic digital content in luxury marketing.
Liran will also work closely with Alessandro Michele, Valentino’s Creative Director. Since being appointed in 2024, Alessandro has made changes to the brand by developing more maximalist products to attract younger consumers.
